I'm obviously new and I'm not a fan of posting long newbie questions but I hope someone is able to help me out :)I do a little bit of "wire art" (vape coil building) and half of this hobby is photography, and I'm not very happy with the quality of photos I am taking with my iPhone. I was using an iPhone 6 + Olliclip macro clip on, and I'm now looking to buy my first DSLR, I've been reading a lot about photography but I need help with the gear. The iPhone lens I was using was marketed as 7/14/21x, but I want to be able to get more magnification than the 21x gave me (maybe double?) for some shots, but for the most part the 14 and 21 worked well for the majority. Of course I want to have some type of "normal" or wide angle lens as well because I want to get into photographing other things as well. Here's the crap part, I bought a used camera on a whim, didn't do enough research at the time but it said macro and was cheap! It's a Nikon 70S with a Tamron 18-200mm lens. It's still something to learn with until I can buy a better camera/lens.I just want to get the best bang for my bucks because it's a hobby right now, and whatever I can get that gets me closer to my desired quality.Tldr; Was doing macro with iPhone + clip on lens. Want DSLR. Ordered older used camera and lens on whim (be here in a few days Nikon 70s and tamron 18-200), need to do macro and super macro, would like bang for buck gear advice via /r/photography http://ift.tt/2teZ6aB
